Hello!

We had about two hours of sun today, then more rain. Aargh. Typical April showers thing. With the few hours of sunlight we got out and ran a few errands and had a strange yet wonderful time.

Bill drove to a little shipping center near home that's been around forever. Frax and I waited politely while a customer finished their transaction, then were pleasantly surprised to see a big grin on the shop owner's face when he saw Frax. Frax absolutely loves to 'shop' which is a command to give a credit card or money to the shop keeper, then take the money or card back (not including hard change of course!) It was difficult to figure out who had a better time! These are the interactions that make my day, and apparently dog loving shop keepers too!

As we drove out of the little strip mall we spied a horse trailer parked to the side out of the way, behind was a pickup absolutely loaded full of dog food and chow. Curious, we slowed. Inside the trailer was a Llama! A great big white one! Wow. We rolled windows down, so Frax could get a good whiff. He was amazed. He had no words. No barks or yips for the moment. Temporarily his brain short-circuited with the strange site and smell.

We continued on our way, rolling the windows back up. It took Frax a few minutes to shake it off and process what had just happened. It was very sweet. It's not very often that one gets to see a Llama eating lunch at the local strip mall while buying stamps after all!

So that was our strange yet odd little trip out today!
