Can You Believe February is Nearly Gone?

Hello!

It appears that the year is flying by, which is a good thing since we've either been snow-bound, ice-bound or electricity-on-the-fritz bound the last two weeks. You don't realize how much you miss electricity till you don't have it!

There's a ice storm from Texas, hard to tell if it might take a left turn and head up our way. We lost power for about an hour and a half this evening, so we are crossing our collective fingers, toes and paws that the electricity holds overnight. It's not as much an issue during the day, but at night with as cold as it's been, it could be an issue.

Frax doesn't think kindly of the slush when he gallops in the backyard. (It makes his feet wet!)He despises water except to drink it. He gets a horror-struck look on his very expressive yellow face when one offers to give him a doggie shower!

Yup, I have a retriever with a quirk! He will retrieve...but not in the water! Good thing he wasn't grown up to be a huntin' dog....it likely could still work...if you rowed him in a boat out to the duck!

Stay warm, all of you and make sure your pups are warm too! Frax is cuddled in warmly at my feet as I type this off to you!:)
