Spring Won't be Denied!

Hello!

It's difficult to switch from a 'winter' mindset to spring, when the winter has been as intense as it's been nationwide this year. It was shaping up to be a normal East TN winter, with a small snow before Thanksgiving, then nothing more than sporatic cold days interspersed with wet sogginess. Then February came in like a freight train with ice and snow storms the like of which we've not seen in many a day!

Frax is not so much into water...baths are at the top of the list, wet rainy weather, snow and now ice! He is more than happy to see the first signs of spring this week. Late yesterday he spied a fat blue-bird digging after worms just past our back porch...and ran pell-mell after it! The bird had a rather stricken look on it's bird visage and quickly took off! Then Frax stretched his long, long legs and ran just for the joy of it round and round our backyard! We laughed, enjoying him enjoying the first decent day in so many weeks outside!

Tonight is a tender Tennessee evening, the light softening into night about eight thirty with the time change. The sweet chirping of frogs surrounds our home with the unabashed joy of thousands of happy baby frogs from the creek down the street! Hard to believe a few weeks ago we were encased in an ice storm!

Frax has a bounce in his steps tonight and happily did some stop, drop and rolls for some mbdb's (milk bone dog biscuits!) His message for tonight was obvious "Spring is HERE!" We may get a few more sputters of winter, but slowly, slowly spring is inching nearer...hang in there! WOOF!

Later!

LV, FX & JT
