Hello!

Continuing on my song theme with titles this Friday...'Angel In My Eyes' is a song by John Micheal Montgomery. This song is about how

people are viewed through the eyes of others. This is particularly appropriate today in the news a very special sled dog is competing in the Iditarod with her Dentist owner. The dog is completely blind, due to a disease called Pannus. She can work any position in the team, queing off the other team members as to position and speed. She can work as a team leader, but has to have another dog alongside her to help. Here is the link to the AP article: http://abcnews.go.com/Weird/wireStory/blind-dog-helps-musher-make-iditarod-route-29603755

I thought that was a neat quirk to the usual story of blind people being assisted by service dogs! Seeing Eye was the first agency in the country to specifically train dogs to assist the blind. The very first service dog school.

The picture above is Jet relaxing on my lap. He had amazing eyes, as you can see by the picture. Sentient. Knowing. Loving.

There is an old saying that you can see a person's soul in their eyes. I am totally with that. You can with your dog buddy as well. If I'm confused about what Frax wants I stop and gaze into his eyes and just talk with him. We figure stuff out that way. I can also catch his attention by gazing at him pointing my finger at my nose and saying "watch me", and he does. That almost always works.

Have a awesome weekend, hug your family, and especially your dog family!

Later... LV, FX & JT
