Hello!
Way back at the end of August this past year, I was taking Frax's harness off and lo and behold...he had a great huge gob of chewing gum attached firmly to his buttocks! How to get rid of it? I iced it, but it wouldn't come loose. Ultimately, I was forced to cut a quarter-sized patch from the offending area. Frax was unamused.
Sitting in things they ought not to is a job hazard if you are a working dog. At least Frax didn't try to chew the offending gum! Our first Dalmatian, Hannah loved cast off bubble gum and would chomp on it with obvious pleasure glowing from her spotted face! Of course it got all tangled in her canine teeth and required some patience to pluck the stringy goo from her smiling mouth!
It's been till this month that the circular area on the buttocks has finally filled in. Oddly, no-one noticed it, or if they did, they didn't say anything about it. I would hope if someone saw Frax toddling around with bubble-gum adhered to his 'buttockal' region that someone would have said something to me! I am of the same mind if I have a leaf of spinach stuck to my front teeth---please tell me, I would never be offended!
This is one of my favorite pictures from this past Christmas. Frax is so intently listening to whatever I was discussing with him. He understands quite a bit...english and doggish, plus the commands he's been taught--all 90+!
Frax is signaling it's time for a snooze, so it's off to bed. See you all tommorrow!
Later...
