My sunshine doesn't come from the skies,
It comes from the love in my dog's eyes.

Hello!
We awoke today to a strange vision...sun! It lasted nearly
five hours! Then it got yucky and cloudy again~ bummer! Frax and I made the most of the sunshine and chance for some vitamin D. We went outside and played fetch, always a winner in Frax's eyes!
During a short trip to the store I met the most accomodating stranger...the lady was intriqued by Frax and literally tiptoed down the aisle to just 'get a look at him, he is so beautiful!" Then she said another stunning thing..."I won't interrupt you~ I know he's working, I just had to get a better look!" I thanked her profusely since my fatique had pretty much hit and it was more than time to go home. It's interactions like that that make it all worthwhile. So many times you hear of bad things happening to service teams. I would rather point out all the neat folks that we meet. I like to think that there are still way more nice and thoughtful people out there than the other. She has no idea how she made my day! I know I am biased but Frax IS a really beautiful dog.:)
The picture today is of Christmas again, Frax is doing a "up" after doing a "lap" which is the previous command. Afterwards, the handler turns her face to the side, and says "off" and Frax goes back to all fours. It's common for dogs to jump up, and it's a great sequence to be able to say "off" and immediately have him on all fours again. Did you know that when dog's jump up they are trying to sniff and get a good look at your face! Of course as humans we misinterpret what they are 'saying'. After your dog is back on all fours, bring your face down and engage him, he wants some 'face time' to bond with you!
The picture to the right is our 'face time' after he went up for a moment. I chose black and white photos because they show emotions so much better than regular photographs. I'm not sure why that is.
Well, it's been a long day, so it's off to bed for all of us. Sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite!
Later...
