From the folks at ScienceDaily comes an article about how Americans are terrribly bad about cleaning up after their dogs~ unless there are other people around to see....then apparently they bag things up, and when no-one is around throw the bag on the ground! EW.

The first day we got our dogs, we were taught where the doo-doo bag was (in their stylish vest!) and to use it when out in public! Then when the ahm, 'donation' was collected, to dispense in the nearest garbage can. What is so hard about that? If you invert a plastic garbage bag over your hand, you never touch it...promise. I still recommend washing your hands afterwards...

I've even gotten adept at 'scooping' when in the wheelchair. It' easy, and part of being a proper service dog team. If the wider community is accomodating enough to allow your helper to allow YOU to be able to go anywhere...I think it's a small thing to be able to pick up after your dog.

Attached to my wheelchair is a handcleanser. It's not just for the pooper scooper moments, but it surely comes in handy. Frax appreciates that if he lets us know he needs "out" while we are out and about, we will take him. As we say to let Frax know that everything is all right "It's no big deal!"

To get the "scoop"...go to http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2015/04/150407084900.htm
