Hello!
We had about two whole hours of sunlight today, followed by rain for the umpteenth day. Bill, Frax and I made the most of the sun and darted out for a couple short errands.
We went to a shipping store to get stamps. Frax and I waited politely for our turn, and folks smiled and didn't interfere, which was great since I was low on energy today. We smiled back and were pleased to note the clerk was obviously a big fan of dogs in general.
Frax absolutely loves to 'shop'. Thats the command. He will give the clerk either cash or credit, waiting to recieve money or card back (no change obviously!) and give the rest back to me. The clerk's grin went from ear to ear during the transaction. I'm not sure who was enjoying the shopping more! Remuneration was a MBDB (Milk Bone Dog Bisquit). The day was looking up!
As we exited the small strip mall, we were surprised to see a horse trailer parked off to the side hooked to a truck jam-packed with various big bags of dog chow. That caught a certain party's attention immediately. We all peered at the trailer to see what could possibly be inside. Eating it's lunch was a big white Llama! There's a site you don't see every day! As we motored slowly past, I rolled the window down a bit for Frax to take a whiff. He was flummoxed. Totally without bark, yip, or other canine words. His brain short-circuited and his jaw dropped. Bill and I chuckled and rolled the window up. It took a few minutes for Frax to recover his faculties after the shock.
So that was our short outing. It's not every day you go to buy stamps and run into a Llama eating lunch at the local strip mall!
Later...
