Hello!
Happy Pup Mom's Day to all the puppy mummy's out there! Some of us aren't blessed to have those human puppies, but thankfully have been with canine ones! This is a zoom in of the earlier picture of new babies born when Frax and I were teamed at Canine Assistants. It is by Canine Assistant's personal professional photographer. You can see why. It's a gorgeous picture!
Pretty unbelievable these two are out there working as full-grown, full-fledged service dogs today! Did you know that it takes eighteen months of daily training to become a Canine Assistant's dog? The two weeks that recipients spend learning what the pups already know down pat doesn't seem near enough, does it? Yet it all works out. That's the magic of love and Canine Assistants.
On this Mother's Day I pause (paws!) to reflect where I might be without my two helpers, Jet and Frax. It's not a good thought. They've made such a huge impact not only in my life, my husband's life and my own family's...but our community's as well.
So, in a bit Bill and Frax and I will meet at my brother's and celebrate Mother's Day with my nearly ninety-two year old Mom! Can you imagine! She looks great, is out of rehab for a break to her back earlier in the year. She's had both hips break in the past few years, and a leg...and it's barely slowed her down!
She was concerned that maybe she was 'too old' for her stylish red tresses recently! I asked her if it made her feel good to have her locks red? "Oh yes!" she replied. Well, there...you have your answer! I replied. She will be stylishly turned out as usual. I hope I will have half her energy at her age! (I was my parent's retirement baby....a whoops!)
Happy Mother's Day to all the mammas out there...human and otherwise!
Later...
