Frax's Fifth Birthday!

Hello!
Frax got packages from the farm last week...and finally got to open them: WOW! new 'clothes'! A stylish yet traditional leash, two of them! and a new collar all that mom ordered! What riches! Then a new box of mini MBDB's (Milk Bone Dog Biscuits!) and the day was going great! Then mom sang Happy Birthday to him twice (she doesn't like folks to listen to hear her sing), not sure why...
Frax has already had a busy week, and wasn't in the mood to go back to have his eyes dilated, but we all stumped off again today. At least the day wasn't as hot as last week, but it was more humid.
We didn't have to wait as long this time, and got home in good time for Bill to start work. (Bill works at home on the computer for a national company.)
Anyhow, we spent a quiet day after that. Sometimes an outing just takes it out of me for whatever reason. I would guess humidity has a lot to do with it this time. Frax is so patient. He just curls around me, and commiserates. (Taking breaks to chow down of course! And go outside and check out the north forty!)
When Frax comes back in his paws smell spicy from the English Ivy and wild violets he has been running through...it's a wonderful smell! Then he cuddles up against me, and I read a book, or type to you, maybe answer a letter or two. A quiet rest of the day.
Take care my friends, sleep well. No owls hooting tonight. They are off on their rounds through the subdivision looking for more to eat! No trains tonight either. Very, very quiet. The humidity seems is lowering, giving promise for a stellar day. Sweet dreams tonight.
Later...
