Hello,
Frax and I had a good start to the day, at our nearby church. I was very glad I'd worn a sweater, since the sanctuary was very cold, nearly artically so!
Frax tilted his head when everyone sang, and was very interested in the 'passing of the bowls' during the offering. I've tried to explain that the bowls are baskets and folks so inclined place money in them...not dog food or people food! He seemed bummed for a minute, then remembering what fun shopping is and that he was very good a kleptoing all way of fiduciary means, his eyes brightened up! Explaining that money being present was not a cue to klepto any was a distinct disappointment to him, he groaned and plopped down next to pinkie the wheelchair, and rested for the rest of the service.
I was glad to get inside the van since the sun beat down so furiously that the part in my hair felt as though it was getting quite burnt! Bill wondered why I was rubbing the top of my head. I explained I had the first sunburn of the summer on my head...nothing like being different.
We darted into a store to pick up a quick 'get well' gift for a friend, then Bill and I went out to Sunday dinner at a restaurant we hadn't gone to in a while. It was quite nice and relaxing. Frax did very well under the table, and enjoyed all the attention he received. This was the first place we came with him as a new team. The people are always welcoming and they remember Jet also coming in with me in the past. Of all the places we go locally, I feel easier at this restaurant than any other, and no it's not just the good 'ol fashioned food'.
At checkout, Frax's eyes rolled round and round in his head as he beheld two cases of pies and other treats. We explained we'd all be as big as houses were we to bring one home but would definitely have one the next holiday.
Later,
LV, FX & JT
