Dog Fun In The Sun!

Hello,
Hard to believe it's already July. When I was a little one, waiting for summers break seemed to take forever! Then when summer came it lasted hardly long enough before we had to put on shoes again and be proper students! I grew up on the beach, and moving to Tennessee in my teens was a huge adjustment.
Frax has never been to the beach. I suspect he would like it, despite being overwhelmed by the nearby water. Jet so loved the beach when we visited Dad the year we became a team! I just know Frax would love it too. Even our elderly Dalmatian Hannah loved the beach, which was a bit of a surprise at the time, since she was rather picky about getting dirty! She wound up loving the sand and the water as well.
Today is the beginning of a week of summer storms that will keep the temperatures low, but plague my joints. Frax made the most of the breaks in the storms to run outside in the sunbeams like a crazy dog. He asked to go outside right after having been out for necessary business. I let him out and Bill and I laughed as he ran in circles, his mouth stretched in a big doggie smile~ then flinging himself on the ground and rolling back and forth, waving those long limbs in the air a ginormous smile on his lips, each huge tooth white and gleaming in the summer rays!
This was a definite doggie dance! I cheered Frax on~ “Yay Frax! That's it! Roll! Rollll!” He glanced over, with a gratified look (it's always nice when other's appreciate your efforts!) and energetically rolled and waved those ridiculously long legs of his round and round. His tail waggled like a whirligig, not in any particular cadence with the wiggling of his legs! His long, long body turned one way, then the other, mimicking the slithering of a very big very furry canine snake!
Whatever others might have accomplished during the short bursts of sunshine today, I can guarantee none had near as much fun as Frax did! That's an accomplishment of its own!
