Disabled Vet Refused Boarding with Service Dog

Another distressingly familiar situation with an employee refusing a service dog team their access rights. The disabled vet was refused boarding on an American Airlines flight from LA to Virginia. The man and his service dog had sat for 2 hours at the gate before boarding, and eligibility to board the flight could have been determined at that time. The handler had notified the airline in advance he was traveling with a service dog, had proper documentation and knew the american with disabilities law of his rights of access and that no-one has the right to question why he needs his service dog.

Not only did American Airlines employees break their own rules they violated Federal and State laws and should be held financially responsible. Perhaps once the airlines and employees get slapped with Federal and State fines when they blatantly break the law they will adhere to them. It's getting pretty old now.
