Hello!

It's so good to 'talk' to you all...it's been a busy week of news, but not really busy HERE. I was stoked to pen a cute little Halloween item for you when believe it or not, woke up yukky on Saturday!

One of those times you wake up and even your ear-lobes ache! My hubby and Fraxie took excellent care of me. I slept and took meds and repeated. I'm a bit wobbly, but wide awake in the middle of the night with my sleep schedule out of wack! YUK!

It's peaceful right now, Bill snoozing to my back, his steady warm breath hits me on my shoulder. Close down is Frax, wedged in-between us, his big golden head tucked in and laying on my ample hip! His regular doggie puffs mimic Bill's...so sweet.

When I was chilling earlier (literally, hot and cold stuff!) Bill brought me my pink blanket I've had since I was a toddler on my bed. It was over large then, but fits our queen just fine. It's the softest thing, there's really nothing comparable. It's silk bindings have been mended many times and I wash it on delicates, let it line dry...and it keeps on going. I love older textiles, and collect them. I use them too...what's the use in loving something and not using it?

I love that Bill totally 'gets it' about using loved things. He had an Aunt, who loved her china dishes. She used them daily, instead of something cheap. Many folks made fun of her, but she said she couldn't use 'em when she was dead, so she might as well use 'em now! I love her attitude.

So, today was a yuk day weather-wise. Drippy soggy rain, with drippy soggy rain forcast for the next few days. ERK! What a yuk fall has been this year! If Frax's coat has anything to say for it, the Winter will be outstandingly COLD, if not snowy here in East TN...which is a bit of exciting! We like snow around here. I have fifty year old flexible flyer (if you don't know-look it up...you will drool!) and it's ready for the snow! I use it as a plant table right now, but I can rearrange things quickly!

Frax isn't known for a very wooly coat. He is short haired and a champion shedder, even after an industrious morning of brushing. He's not doing much shedding though...just a thick tough coat coming in, even in his less furry areas...his long torso and butt and even the legs are getting a doubly thick coat. If I could figure out a way to capture it on film, I would, but I'm stumped.

Guess I should check the 'wooly worm' forcast for here. Haven't heard what it says. Actually, haven't seen a wooly worm around this miserable fall. I'll probably have quite a search.

Since I trust Frax for much more dire things, I trust him on this: winter will be cold! Crank out the old Winter coats! Frax has prognosticated! (Hope he is right or I will wind up eating my hat!) lol.

Later...

LV, JT, & FX
