A Change In Light

Hello!

It's amazing what a day can do for making you feel better! Amazing really! Resting and taking it easy is the best thing you can do to make it over the hump when you aren't feeling well and have MS. It seems if you make yourself rest...everything calms back down.

Frax has been the original snuggle bunny. He has cuddled and snuggled right up next to me as I have enjoyed some library books while I've mended. He has discovered the joys of Autumn apples too....its amazing how clumsy I am when cutting up those apple chunks...seems always one lands on the kitchen floor, plop! right in front of Frax's substantial nose! YUM! He loves apples now too. Bill got a fragrant bunch of Macintosh's at the grocery store and Frax has fallen in love with them. A few we had earlier in the season he wasn't as interested in~ too tart! He has a sweet tooth! (or teeth!)

Bill and I got married in the fall (September), when fall came a bit earlier than it does today. We had one of our first dinners at the Applebarn, close to the park. Now it is a huge operation with the restaurant, bakery and store that sells bakery items, fresh apple juice, apple cider, apple butter, canned apples, quilts and local arts and crafts. They sold most of the same things then as well...it just was a much smaller operation.

I loved apples before then, but since our early trips to the Applebarn, all those happy memories wrap up in a simple apple! Just the tart smell of an apple and cinnamon brings those memories up and makes me smile! Ah! I love fall!

One thing I don't care for is the sudden time change! ERK! Where did the light go to? I don't think Frax cares much for it either. It was another overcast day with rain and leftover leaves. Frax absolutely refused to go out before supper (its the rule!). Can't say I blame him wanting a warm tummy before going out into the cold and damp! So...he had his warm dinner first...then when he was conveniently warm and full feeling went out to tend to business! Not that he is spoiled whatsoever! lol.

So give your family and furry friends a warm hug this evening, and settle down, it's Autumn for good and sure, time to start planning what to make for Thanksgiving. We have a nice pretty pumpkin that is a baking pumpkin, its waiting to make some lovely pies, and to freeze the cooked pumpkin for more pies later on...I found a wonderful simple recipe, mmmmmm!
