Fear Man

No hate, no fear, no political correctness, heck, no politics. Yet fairness abounds among the strong to the weak. Each raised with love, and knows his or her spot in the group. When youngsters grow up they rarely leave home. If they do, they find themselves inexplicably drawn back to home when it's time to start a family.
Where is this utopia? It's a wolf pack. Those spooky wolves of our storybook horror stories. Wolves are by and large great moms, (dads take a secondary role in the pack, females are dominant). Many wolf mated pairs stay that way for life. Try finding that in the human genre. Aunties and Great Aunties take turns with the 'kids' so mom and dad have some space. Others in the packs are scouts and mind the packs security. Still others hunt for the good of the pack, the mated pair eating first, since momma is nursing those babies. And still, with all I've read, the repeated nearly daily scientific updates...I've probably said something wrong, since I'm not a wolf, nor a wolf researcher. Just a human being trying to come to grips with humanity's cold, cold heart.
Of course I like to think that there are much more decent humans around than not. I surround myself with them...who would want to be around the other? I'm sure the people murdered this week thought the same thing. That if they worked, lived and socialized in nice areas, with nice people, that nothing bad could ever happen. They let their guard down. Even a wolf pack knows to have its select group of guard individuals in the group making sure the others are safe. However, each member from the smallest pup to the oldster knows safety rules that are passed on...They know to fear man. Which in my mind makes them highly evolved and intelligent.
I believe it's sadly time for us to take a page from our highly evolved wolves:

Fear Man.
