My Dog Is A CURmugeon!

Hello!
Just sitting here watching it pour the rain outside, again, today. It's been raining nonstop since Saturday night. YUK! Frax is totally over it, with his inherent aversion to water in any way shape or form he's been a bit miserable. I think if he could figure out the commode vs tail issue with human plumbing, he would give it a twirl.
Frax is a very 'talkative' dog. Bill and I love it, but during the rain, he has made his grumpiness known. HUGE groans...especially when asked to go “out” for a moment. He looks out the window and groans just like a human...”arrrrrhgggh!” He says! That makes Bill and I laugh and makes Frax give us a dirty look for laughing!
Last week we had to go to get some blood work done. Frax was NOT happy about it...it was pouring, like it's been 99% of the time the past two weeks. He rumbled and mumbled in the car...when we dashed out of the car....when we registered at the front desk (they giggled too!), and when we arrived at the laboratory door to take a seat. Total grouchiness! A CURmugeon! Lol.
We rolled into the lab, and Frax decided he would announce to all present that 1. we were there, and they needed to hop to it, so we could leave and go home 2. he had had enough of the rain and he couldn't take it anymore!.....He braced his leggy four legs, and HOWLED mournfully! Good grief! The laboratory technician wasn't sure of things...I think he thought he might get 'et! Lol. I reassured him that Frax was expressing himself rather much that morning.
Ever since that day, Fraxie has grumped and groaned around the house! Can't say as I blame him. It will stop raining soon...Friday is predicted dry...then it will likely start to rain again! I can't really be as upset as Frax though~ we've been blessed not to have boatloads of snow or an ice storm, like so much of the US is battling.
Frax predicted a harsh winter. He has a very short coat normally, since he is a hybrid he has areas that are longer...and they have grown exponentially since September! A great huge ruff of fur across his neck and shoulders, curls across his butt, and doggie 'skirts' from his back legs. A lot of fur for him! And no shedding, which is VERY unusual. He's hanging on to every hair. He predicts a long, cold Winter, I fear, and as we all are aware...dogs KNOW.
Later...
