Do You Hear What I Hear?

Hello,

This is a bit of a reminder to those of us who might get a bit too wrapped up in the secular part of Christmas and forget that all creatures, our dogs included deserve to be treated with dignity.

Tonight all was not still, all was not bright. It's the last weekend to shop for Christmas, so the pups that where purchased in the months and days before the Holy night of Christmas, are thrown outside, in the cold, to bark ceaselessly for their new masters, who unthinking, have put them out, so that they don't return to 'a mess'. Instead, they've broken the first rule of being a good custodian of a entity, whether it be a dog, or a person....be kind, be loving...THINK! Do you think putting your dog out for 'just a few hours' while you go shopping is a great idea on the first night that it dips into the low thirties here? Really? No place to shelter, I'm sure. I got to listen to them cry for you tonight though...for two hours. Till you drove up and put them up. I hope you felt, if didn't hear the vibes coming from me and from Frax. They weren't nice, I'm afraid.

The song that was on my mind while your dog's cried for you reflects the cry of a babe two thousand years ago, cold in a manger, brought here to bring peace, and understanding to cold men's hearts. There are still many cold hearts that babe has yet to reach, and I pray tonight as their poor animals become warm once again, and they drift off to sleep, that these words will wind around their subconscious and they will finally 'get' the meaning. God be with the innocents, tonight, and all nights, please God.

Do You Hear What I Hear?

Said the night wind to the little lamb, do you see what I see? Way up in the sky, little lamb, do you see what I see? A star, a star, dancing in the night! With a tail as big as a kite! With a tail as big as a kite! Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy, do you hear what I hear? Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy, do you hear what I hear? A song, a song, high above the trees! With a voice as big as the sea! With a voice as big as the sea! Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king, do you know what I know? In your palace warm, mighty king, do you know what I know? A Child, a Child shivers in the cold! Let us bring Him silver and gold! Let us bring Him silver and gold! Said the king to the people everywhere, listen to what I say! Pray for peace, people everywhere! listen to what I say! The Child, the Child, sleeping in the night.... He will bring us goodness and light! He will bring us goodness and light!
