K9 Hero Helps Partner's Wife Go On

Hello,
This is a tough thing to talk about, but if it saves the life of one person reading this blog, or someone that they know, the article was well worth it!
Blek is a K9 hero, who lost his parner to a drunk driver one night. His other person, Mary, lost her partner that night too, when a drunk driver crossed the center line and took each of their partner's away.
Eric Eslary died of his injuries at the scene. His loyal partner Blek was seriously injured and still is recovering from his injuries at home, with his person's partner in life, Mary.
Mary is still in shock. She wished her husband a good shift, told him she loved him...and that was it. “He vanished that night.” she said when interviewed by Fuzzflix.
Mary was given a huge gift, and a way to work through her mourning, by Christy Boyd, who took wonderful pictures, with Mary holding signs up, describing Eric and her story, and including the recovering Blek in the pictures.
Christy had lost someone dear to her as well a few years back and wanted very much to help Mary and Blek work through losing such a huge part of their lives.
Christy took wonderful pictures of them, holding up signage that describes Eric's life, how it was lost, and how it affected Blek and her. The pictures are taken close to where they live.
The series is posted now online at FaceBook. Please go and look at them, share them with people you love. Say a prayer for healing and help in facing the future, whatever it is. There isn't just one hero here, there's three. Eric, his partner Blek and Mary.
* This is a reminder folks. Drunk driving kills. Not just those sworn to protect and serve us, but family members, friends...our children. If you think it doesn't affect the wider community, it does. If you think it doesn't affect who people marry, it does. (If that person who someone was going to marry dies in a drunk driving accident...that pretty much changes an entire life. This has happened in my family...) Being embarrassed lasts but a moment in time. Being dead or injured or causing these things to others lasts a lifetime. When someone reaches out needing help when intoxicated, don't let them drink! Drive them home, be non-judgemental, even if that means not speaking. Let people know they can call you, and you won't judge, you'll get them home safe.
