BWI Is Working To Make The Friendly Skies More Friendly To Service Dogs And Their People

Ah, the relief! At BWI Airport they take relief seriously. As do all service dogs and their owners. There are two new dog relief areas being constructed at BWI within the secured areas! Woo HOO! This is big doin's!

It's a shame all major airports aren't following in suit. When traveling in the friendly skies it's difficult to find an area between flights to take your service dog. Not to mention downright scary.

Jet and I flew quite a few times to be with my father in his last days. A dedicated potty center would have been wonderful. I remember distinctly the difficulty in finding an area that was safe, out of anybody's way, and, well, quiet enough to use.

Dogs are a lot like us, in that a bit of quiet when we are in the bathroom is helpful. These area should go a long way at least at one airport, of making the fur-flying public much more comfortable and happ
